Mr Warren:
I must state that I’m not one to be easily swayed nor impressed, however your email is demonstrative of a true gentleman and professional. I fully agree with you and was highly impress when you stated:
” I find even my most harsh of my critics a shining light in pointing out different points of view and experiences. In analyzing them I am often further resolved in my original assessment but, I do, on occasion, find a kernel of truth and thus a way to improve my system of instruction and methods ….”
Words like that can only be spoken by a man whom is devoid of ego and a true master of his craft. What truly stunned me by those words is that I was speaking with Charles last night on the phone and was telling him almost word for word the exact same thing.
A master is born by understanding that his may not be the only or best way, and being able to take criticism, and apply newer and or better knowledge is key for growth.
I admired you before this, as your system is amazing, I RESPECT the hell out of you now because you have shown what so many few have been able to show in this business, that being respect, professionalism and humility.
Mr.Warren, I thank you for clearing this up and for what its worth, you have a friend and ally in me and my entire organization.
Respectfully
David D’Antonio

It seems lately that some of our fellows have gotten the attention of those who would speak with threats more than a candid discussion of methods of training and techniques or strategies to save lives. Recently, one such individual has even mentioned my name without my being made aware and certainly without my permission. J.Salva.
I would like to take the moment to respond and clarify that he does not speak for myself, my company, or my URBAN Military Combatives System. His insults are not spoken on my behalf.
Regardless, I do apologize for his statements. I also would like to clarify that this forum is a free forum where professionals are encouraged to keep each other honest with frank and candid discussions on the field of Street Fighting.
As such an outlet, I find even my most harsh of my critics a shining light in pointing out different points of view and experiences. In analyzing them I am often further resolved in my original assessment but, I do, on occasion, find a kernel of truth and thus a way to improve my system of instruction and methods resulting in more saved lives on the battlefields of the world.
In doing so, I try to ensure that all of the discussion are respectful and polite as possible which I believe lends myself to showing an intellectual approach to the science of conflict resolution.
Speaking from friendship is always the fastest way to learn from another human. I would like to encourage my fellows to also share their thoughts on verbal conflict mediation. I find that often the most effective tool in conflict resolution is first in talking.
Very Respectfully,
Michael Warren

The is one of the first movements taught in the URBAN Military Combatives Program.
This technique is meant to assist the student with developing a more aggressive nature to close with an opponent and end the fight.
What makes this program different from the others out there is only our way of training. We develop Propreoceptive Responses created by our scenarios and realistic drills that goes way beyond the theory of muscle memory.
We develop adaptive, critical thinking skills in the survival mindset.
When executing this technique, the first thing one must remember is to not “Fall in Love” with the technique. Allow yourself the adaptability you need to survive, and just add this movement to your toolbox by working with a live resisting partner until it becomes second nature in feel.
We do not promote the “greatness” of our name or instructors. We do our best to develop each individual student. The students, not the “experts” are what counts in the URBAN Military Combatives Program.
Our instructors are extremely experienced and very competent, however, they are committed and focused on the student’s understanding and development.
V/R,
Michael “Mikey” Warren

The program is the URBAN MCP or Ultimate Reality Based Attack and Neutralization Military Combatives Program.
This clip is a sneak peak into the world of real military combatives being taught to special forces and special operations soldiers.
This system, headed by fight instructors Chris Heintzman and Michael Warrren, was created to truly prepare a soldier for combat not like the common sport system being taught to average soldiers call Modern Army Combatives which wholly fails to address any realities of a fight to the death.
